Jordan Anthony is listed as an outside-linebacker/running back out of the country's most prestigious football school, IMG Academy (FL). Anthony is being recruited mainly as a linebacker by Michigan, as they're quite thin at the position as things stand right now.
Anthony visited Michigan a while back, but he spoke to us about his relationships with coaches at Michigan, and more.
"(Michigan) is in my top ten I just released, so they're definitely a top school for me," he said. "Coach Don Brown came to our practice earlier today, so I know we have a great relationship."
Anthony's relationship with Brown could prove vital. Brown's need for linebacker is a concern, but that concern could be erased with addition of Anthony in this class, plus the already committed Ben Mason.
"I love the campus, the facilities, and the staff," he said.
He has been able to learn more about Michigan, especially after his visit. He spoke to us about what stands out about Michigan compared to other schools.
"Coach Brown had the number-one defense last year," he said. "They are top five in the major I plan on studying next year, too."
No relationship typically pays off more so than the recruit's relationship with the head coach, and Anthony has a great one with Jim Harbaugh.
"I have a good relationship with Coach Harbaugh," he said. "We had a talk about life and just got to know more about each other before we event talked about football (during the visit.)"
Anthony told us that he will visit Michigan again, but doesn't have a set date. The second visit is the biggest one for Michigan, and could make a huge influence on his decision, as we've seen many times with second-time visitors.r
Anthony is the ninth-overall OLB, and 117th overall player in the country, according to the 247 composite ratings.
