Wolverines Extend Offer to 2017 5* DT

According to Clint Brewster of Wolverine247 (FREE), MIchigan has offered 2018 five-star defensive tackle Matthew Jones (NY). He is ranked as the nation's 21st-best player in the class and second overall at his position.

The 247 Crystal Ball is currently in favor of Ohio State, however it is still very early on in his recruiting process. Check out his impressive sophomore season highlights here, per Hudl:

Michigan Offers 2018 4* RB During Weekend Visit

According to Steve Wiltfong of Wolverine247 ($), the Wolverines extended an offer to 2018 four-star running back Markese Stepp (IN) during his visit to Ann Arbor over the weekend. The 247Composite has Stepp as the 12th-ranked RB in his class and the second overall athlete in Indiana.

Notre Dame and Michigan State are also thought to be in contention for Stepp, per the article. The athlete had high praise for the Wolverines, however you will need a subscription to 247Sports in order to read the quotes in their entirety.

2017 3* WR Includes Michigan in Top 5

Per his Twitter page on Monday morning, 2017 three-star California wide receiver Maurice Bell has included the Wolverines in his top five. Bell is the 94th-ranked WR in the 2017 cycle.

Iowa is thought to lead for his services, per the 247 Crystal Ball. The Wolverines offered Bell back on April 8.

Michigan Coach Stops By HS in Arkansas

Michigan secondary coach Brian Smith paid a visit to Ashdown HS in Arkansas on Tuesday, per Clint Brewster of Wolverine247 (FREE). One big name down there is 2017 four-star safety Montaric Brown. He has offers from several notable programs, however Michigan has yet to extend one.

Toledo 3* DE to Visit Michigan Saturday

Per Brice Marich of Scout, 2017 three-star defensive end James Hudson (OH) will take a visit to Michigan this Saturday. Hudson is the 11th-ranked DE in the 2017 cycle and 16th overall in Ohio.
