The Wolverines have received a commitment from Blooming Thunder captain Jake Slaker. In his second season in Bloomington the 5'10" center recorded a 21-21--42 scoring line through 57 games and helped the Thunder move on to the USHL's Eastern Conference final recording a 5-7--12 line in 10 games.

Berenson and staff have loaded up centers after the departures of JT Compher and Boo Nieves by adding Slaker, Steven Merl and Adam Windborg for the upcoming season and Gustaf Westlund for 2017.

Slaker is the third player who will join the program from Bloomington in 2016-17 along with center Steven Merl and goaltender Hayden Lavigne.
