Texas WR Gets Michigan Offer, Says They Lead

New, comments

Maize 'n Brew caught up with a Texas WR that is fresh off a Michigan offer.

Tommy Gilligan-USA TODAY Sports

Kenedy Snell is a 2017 3-star WR out of Texas. Michigan has offered what seems like 50 Texas players this week, but Snell is one of the more intriguing ones of the group.

Snell's film (watch here) is a lightning bolt, and there's no other way to put it. The first three plays are him catching a deep ball for a touchdown, the second is a screen play for a touchdown, and the third is a handoff that you have to see to believe. The most noticeable feature of his profile is that he was clocked at 4.38(!!) 40-yard dash time. Although, it was likely an unofficial time, his speed is obvious in his film as a huge advantage, no matter if the 4.38 was a little off or not.

Snell is a low rated 3-star, so up until his U-M offer we haven't heard much of him. But, there's no questioning that his film was nothing short of eye-opening.

MnB caught up with him about his offer immediately after he received it.

"I was extremely shocked," he said. "(Michigan) hasn't really talked to me (until the offer.)"

When Michigan assistant Jedd Fisch gave Snell the call, he remained speechless.

"I didn't even know what to say. Coach Fisch asked me if I knew the head coach, which I do," he said. "But, when he asked me what the (head coach's) name was I was speechless, I just forgot."

Once Snell was able to gather his thoughts, he told us about his interest in Michigan.

"I know (coach Harbaugh) and what he's capable of," he said. "(Michigan) is definitely a choice."

Snell told us a little more on where Michigan stands in his recruitment.

"My other offer Louisiana-Monroe," he sad. "I would put Michigan ahead of them."

Snell says he can bring speed to Michigan, and that's obvious.

He said he wants to talk it over with his family and God before deciding where he'll commit. As of right now, Snell has two 247 Crystal Ball predictions in, both are to Michigan, one of them from myself.
