A Look at Michigan's Newest Commit

In case you missed it, Michigan nabbed yet another recruit for the 2017 class over the weekend in the form of four-star defensive end Aubrey Solomon (GA). This verbal pledge came after his first visit to Michigan and can be seen as a big deal because programs such as Alabama and in-state school Georgia were recruiting him as well.

Michigan Cracks Top 10 for 2017 4* APB

The Wolverines have landed on the top ten list for 2017 four-star all-purpose back Anthony McFarland Jr. (MD), per Steve Wiltfong of Wolverine247 (FREE). Per his Twitter page on Tuesday,

According to the 247Composite, McFarland is the second-ranked APB in his class and second overall in Maryland. Georgia is currently in the lead to land his services via the 247 Crystal Ball.

Michigan at Top of List for 2017 3* DE

According to Brandon Justice of Rivals ($), 2017 three-star strong-side defensive end Anthony Payne (MO) has put Michigan at the top of his list for possible suitors come decision time. Payne recently attended the Wolverines' satellite camp in Kansas City, and was offered shortly thereafter.

Per the article, the Wolverines are interested in pursuing Payne at the linebacker position.

Michigan Cracks Top Three for 2017 4* OG

According to his Twitter page on Tuesday evening, 2017 four-star guard Robert Hainsey out of the IMG Academy in the Florida has included Michigan in his top three along with Michigan State and Notre Dame.

He is the 4th-ranked OG in the class and 70th-overall in the nation.

2017 3* OT Raves About Michigan

Per Isaiah Hole of Wolverine247 (FREE), 2017 four-star offensive tackle Kai-Leon Herbert (FL) has extremely high praise for Michigan following a visit over the weekend. Herbert visited Ann Arbor with teammate and fellow offensive lineman Tedarrell Slaton, commenting on the facilities and campus life as the highlights of his trip.

Per the article, Herbert will announce his decision this summer. Also in the mix for the athlete are Florida, Miami (FL) and Tennessee, per 247.

Michigan Leaves Positive Impression on 2018 4* TE

2018 four-star tight end Mustapha Muhammad (TX) visited Ann Arbor on Friday, and thoroughly liked what he saw, per Isaiah Hole of Wolverine247 (FREE). Said the athlete per the article,

"This has was a great visit for me," Muhammad said. "I had lots of fun. It's definitely going to be in my top schools -- I don't really have a certain number -- but Michigan is going to be in my top schools. I really like Michigan."

Muhammed's high level of interest in the Wolverines is due in large part to their extensive use of the TE position. He is currently ranked as the No. 8 TE in the 2018 cycle and 134th overall in the nation.

2018 4* WR to Visit Ann Arbor This Summer

Per Brandon Justice of Rivals ($), 2018 four-star wide receiver and safety Joshua Moore (TX) is planning on paying a visit to Ann Arbor this summer. He received his offer from Michigan as a receiver, while his primary recruiter has been running backs coach Tyrone Wheatley.
