Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh announced on the Rich Eisen Show that Michael Jordan will be the honorary captain for the Wolverines against Hawaii on September 3rd, which is the season opener.

On August 1st, Michigan will officially be sponsored by Nike. The contract with Adidas will expire on July 31st. The contract with Nike will last 15 years and is worth $173.8 million.

The M Den will have a Nike event that starts on July 31st and will lead into the midnight opening of a new M Den store on the Michigan campus. All other M Den stores will open at 10:00 A.M. on August 1st.

Believe it or not, the Michigan football team will get Nike’s Jordan Brand and will be the first football program to wear the “Jumpman” uniform. The basketball program, both men and women, will get Jordan gear for the 2016-17 season.
