Michigan fans love their football... and not just the American kind.
This afternoon's International Champions Cup match between Chelsea and Real Madrid drew 105,826 to Michigan Stadium. That's good for second-highest all-time attendance at a soccer game in the U.S... surpassed only by last year's Real Madrid-Manchester United match in Ann Arbor that drew 109,318.
Wow, #annarbor now holds the #1 AND #2 spots for record U.S. soccer attendance! #goblue #icc2016 pic.twitter.com/zKZ6VrRObH

If that wasn't enough, today's game was also the highest-attended for any match involving Chelsea, a 111-year-old club and one of the biggest teams in England.
Today’s game at the Michigan Stadium may set a new record for an official attendance at a Chelsea match! #CFCTour https://t.co/oEeemsLnsH

Maybe an MLS team should go ahead and set up shop in Ann Arbor.
