According to The Michigan Insider, Alabama commit Najee Harris will visit Michigan for the BBQ at The Big House on August 6th. The 6-foot-3, 225-pound running back is the No. 1 overall prospect in the Class of 2017.
The Wolverines have been pushing hard to get Harris to flip his commitment from the Crimson Tide to the Maize and Blue. Michigan even hosted a satellite camp at his high school in June.
Harris has been committed to Alabama since April 18, 2015, but Michigan, USC, UCLA, Oregon and California have all been aiming to get the running back on their side.
Harris is the No. 1 overall prospect in the 2017 class, according to 247Sports. He is the top running back and the best player in the state of California. The next-best running back in the Class of 2017 is Cam Akers at No. 9 from Clinton High School in Mississippi.
During his junior season with Antioch High School in California, Harris carried the ball for 2,744 yards and tallied 36 touchdowns.
