“I’ve been interested [in Michigan] even before,” Carmody told Maize n Brew. “Today definitely meant a lot to receive an offer. I just love the school, the coaches, the area around it and the style they play.”
From Mars Area Shs High School in Pennsylvania, Carmody is ranked 58th overall in the 2018 class, according to 247Sports. He is ranked as the 17th overall shooting guard and is the No. 2 player in his state. The four-star has offers from Cincinnati, Duquesne, Louisville, DePaul, Purdue, Stanford, Michigan, Northwestern, Notre Dame, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Rice, and Xavier.
“I wouldn’t really say anyone is a leader right now, but I definitely feel like it’s a great fit,” Carmondy mentioned regarding Michigan and the rest of his leader board.
Carmondy took an unofficial visit to Michigan in June and will return this fall for another visit.
"[Michigan is] definitely a school that I could see myself playing at," Carmody said. "I think they fit my style pretty well -- lots of slashing and coming off ballscreens."
