Weems is a 2019 five-star small forward from New Haven High School in Michigan. As a freshman, he averaged 16.1 points, 11 rebounds, five assists and four steals per game.
"At the wing, I feel like I can excel more," Weems told MLive. "I have the ball in my hands more than if I was at the post. You can move more ... You get on the wing, you can drive, attack, kick it or get the layup. I don't think too many people can stay in front of me."
According to 247Sports, the 6-foot-5, 205-pound forward is the 19th player in the country, the ninth-best small forward and the No. 1 overall prospect out of Michigan.
The 15-year-old athlete will continue to develop and should continue to make noise across basketball recruiting.
