Michigan will host the 2017 Big Ten Softball Tournament at Alumni Field. The tournament will be held from May 12-14.

In the 2016 season, Michigan won the Big Ten with a 21-2 record. Nebraska was second, Minnesota third, Illinois fourth and Ohio State finished fifth with a 12-7 record. Maryland finished last with a 7-17 record.
The tournament is a single-elimination format and the champion will earn automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament. The Big Ten’s top four regular season seeds will get a bye into the quarterfinals.
Michigan battled against Minnesota in the 2016 Big Ten Softball Tournament championship game. After clinching its 20th conference championship, the Wolverines ended up losing to the Golden Gophers in the tournament.
