Jake Butt continues to get recognition ahead of his senior season with the Michigan Wolverines.
Butt has been named to ESPN’s preseason all-America team as its first-team tight end. Here’s what the network’s Dan Murphy had to say:
Teammates say the 2015 All-American is deceptively fast and uses his body to get open as well as anyone in the country. Equipped with a coaching staff that makes good use of its tight ends, it's a safe bet that Butt is on his way to a second-straight season of 50-plus catches.
Butt was the only UM player to make the team, which was released Monday morning.
Other Big Ten selections include Indiana offensive guard Dan Feeney, Ohio State center Pat Elflein and linebacker Raekwon McMillan, Michigan State defensive tackle Malik McDowell and Iowa cornerback Desmond King.
