Michigan redshirt freshman Andrew David will be transferring to TCU, as mentioned by teammate Jon Runyan Jr. on Instagram.

It also seems like David will be playing both football and baseball on the field at TCU. The kicker was forced to redshirt last season with Kenny Allen winning the kicking job and Blake O’Neil being brought in for punting.

As Allen returns for a fifth season and Michigan signed punter/kicker Quinn Nordin, David probably would not have seen much time on the field. Nordin was the No. 1 ranked kicker in the 2016 class and signed with Michigan on National Signing Day.

David was one of the only commitments under Brady Hoke to stay through the transition of new coach Jim Harbaugh. He kicked a 58-yard field goal in high school and owned a 40 yards per punt average.

In the middle of July, Derrick Green transferred to TCU. Green ran the ball 212 times for 898 yards and seven touchdowns in three years with the Wolverines. He committed to Michigan on January 26, 2013, but is now a member of the Horned Frogs.
