2017 5-star RB Najee Harris, an Alabama commit, is a big fan of Jim Harbaugh

2017 five-star running back Najee Harris is the No. 1 recruit in the nation. The Alabama commit from Antioch High School in California has made a special connection with Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh, according to The San Francisco Chronicle.

"He's dope," Harris said of Harbaugh. "Everybody thinks he's weird, but he's not weird. I like him a lot. He's a funny dude. He's cool."

Harbaugh visited Harris at his high school earlier this year. When Harris walked into the principal’s office, which is where Harbaugh was, the Michigan coach said “You’re a beautiful young man.”

Harris attended Michigan’s satellite camp at Antioch High School in June and made the trip to Ann Arbor in early August for the BBQ at the Big House.

As a junior last season, Harris had 243 carries for 2,744 yards and 36 touchdowns.
