In his third preseason game with the Detroit Lions, Jake Rudock completed 0-of-6 passes and was sacked once.
The Lions fell to the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday at M&T Bank Stadium, 30-9.
Rudock relieved Dan Orlovsky with eight minutes left in the game. He had his first pass batted down. Later in the fourth quarter, Rudock made a beautiful throw to Quinshad Davis in the end zone, but the wide receiver could not get both feet down. Jace Billingsley dropped a pass, which ended up being the last attempt of the night for Rudock.
During the first game of the preseason, Rudock completed 8-of-11 passes for 72 yards, a touchdown and a two-point conversion to lead the Lions to a victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
In Week 2 of the preseason, the quarterback completed 8-of-11 passes for 90 yards, but threw an interception in the fourth quarter.
Rudock is still the No. 3 quarterback behind starter Matthew Stafford and Orlovsky. He will play on Thursday against the Buffalo Bills in hopes that he will move up in the quarterback battle before the start of the regular season.
