Wednesday Michigan Recruiting Roundup: 2017 No. 1 Recruit to Visit for BBQ at the Big House

In this edition, the top-ranked recruit in the 2017 cycle announces his visit to Michigan, an OSU recruit will take an official to Ann Arbor, and more.

2017 No. 1 Recruit to Visit for BBQ at the Big House

Per The Michigan Insider ($), 2017 number one overall recruit Najee Harris will pay a visit to Ann Arbor for the BBQ at the Big House on Saturday. Harris is a five-star running back from California, per the 247Composite.

Harris is currently listed as a hard commit to the University of Alabama, however Michigan has been trying hard to get Harris to flip that commitment. He has been committed to the Crimson Tide since April of 2015.

2017 3* OT Lists Michigan in Top 10

Per his Twitter page on Monday, 2017 three-star offensive tackle Mekhi Becton has included Michigan in his top 10 list in no particular order. Also included in the list were Penn State, Michigan State, and Rutgers, among others.

The 247Composite lists Becton as the 40th-ranked OT in the 2017 cycle and 16th overall in the state of Virginia. The Crystal Ball is currently in favor of Virginia landing Becton's services.

5* OSU Commit Announces Official Visit to Michigan

Brandon Justice of Rivals ($) has reported that 2017 5* CB and Ohio State commit Shaun Wade will not attend the BBQ at the Big House on Saturday. However, Wade did announce that he will take an official visit on October 1. Wade has been committed to the Buckeyes since January of 2015.

The 247Composite lists Wade as the third-ranked CB in the class and 17th overall in the nation.

Coaches Can Now ‘Retweet' or ‘Like' Recruits' Tweets

Monday at midnight marked the first day in which college football coaches could retweet or like the tweets from class of 2017 recruits.

Steve Lorenz of Wolverine247 (FREE) outlined the recruits that received some notifications from Michigan coaches. Those names included QB commit Dylan McCaffrey, WR target Donovan Peoples-Jones, and LB commit Joshua Ross. Click here for the full list.
