Wednesday Michigan Recruiting Roundup: McCaffrey Shines in First Game of the Season

In this edition, a highly-touted Michigan commit impresses in his first high school game of the season, and more.

ICYMI: McCaffrey Shines in First Game of the Season

Per Steve Wiltfong of Wolverine247 (FREE), 2017 four-star quarterback and Michigan commit Dylan McCaffrey impressed during his first high school game of the season for Valor Christian. Though his school took the loss, McCaffrey went 18-of-24 with 215 yards passing and 13 carries for 56 yards rushing. He threw for a touchdown, ran for one, and was even on the receiving end of a score.

He is the 45th-overall recruit in the class. Read here for more info on his performance during the game.

2018 3* ATH Announces Michigan as Leader

On Tuesday, 2018 three-star athlete Cam Taylor (AL) informed Evan Petzold with Maize n Brew that Michigan is currently at the top of his list. He also stated that he plans on visiting Ann Arbor for a game at some point this season.

Taylor is the 15th-ranked overall recruit in the state of Alabama. So far in two games this season for Prattville HS, Taylor has accounted for a total of 11 touchdowns - 6 rushing and 5 passing.

2017 4* OT Includes Wolverines in Top 10

Per his Twitter account on Monday, 2017 four-star offensive tackle Aaron Banks (CA) has included the Wolverines in his list of top ten schools. Also in the list were Notre Dame, Oregon, and Cal, among others.

He is the 19th-ranked OT in his class and sits as the 19th-ranked overall recruit in California, per the 247Composite.
