Jaylen Kelly-Powell, a 2017 four-star safety, will hold off on his commitment until after he finishes his senior season with Cass Technical High School in Detroit, Michigan.

The 6-foot-0, 175-pound athlete has offers to play for Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Boston College, Bowling Green, California, Central Michigan, Cincinnati, Colorado, Duke, Eastern Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Iowa State, Kentucky, Miami (OH), Minnesota, Missouri, N.C. State, Nebraska, North Carolina, Northwestern, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Oregon, Penn State, Pittsburgh, South Carolina, Stanford, Syracuse, Tennessee, Toledo, UCLA, Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, and Wisconsin. He was recruited to Michigan by Tyrone Wheatley and Chris Partridge.
“Right now, I don’t have a top five, because I just received a couple more offers,” Kelly-Powell told the Detroit Free Press. "I plan on having a top five when the season starts."
The safety is the 259th overall player in the 2017 class, according to 247Sports. He is the 20th ranked safety and the fourth-best player in the state of Michigan.
