From Belleville High School in Michigan, Dobbs is ranked 14th overall, according to 247Sports. He is the top ranked offensive tackle and the best player in the state of Michigan in the 2019 class.
"My dad has always dreamed of me going to Michigan but I don’t really know any of the coaches," Dobbs said to Steve Wiltfong of 247Sports prior to attending the BBQ at The Big House. "I'm excited about all the schools who have interest in me. I really loved every campus I was on this summer.
"I'm excited for my sophomore year, my team, my family. I'm not sure if Michigan really likes me like State but I'm going to show the entire country that I'm committed to becoming one of the best and so is our team."
Dobbs, a 6-foot-4, 270-pound athlete, has offers from Alabama, Auburn, Cincinnati, Florida, Iowa State, Kentucky, Michigan, Michigan State, Missouri, Ohio State, Tennessee, Eastern Michigan, Toledo, Bowling Green and Penn State.
The last player from Belleville High School to play for Michigan was Ian Gold from 1996-1999.
