Livers is a four-star prospect and the second-ranked player in the state of Michigan, according to the 247 Composite rankings. He is the 24th-ranked power foward in the 2017 class.
U-M head coach John Beilein has come under fire from some for not beating out Michigan State’s Tom Izzo for prospects. This is a battle that the Wolverines won over the Spartans.
Livers picked up an offer from the Wolverines in late July and joins a class that is currently ranked fourth nationally as of today. Other players committed to Michigan’s 2017 class are four-star guards Jordan Poole and Eli Brooks.
