“A lot,” Reigelsperger said of Michigan’s interest in him. “I can’t wait to get up there.”
The weak-side defensive end has offers to play for Pittsburgh, Iowa, Western Michigan, Purdue, Rutgers, Miami (FL), Kentucky and Penn State. According to 247Sports, he is the No. 432 athlete in the 2018 class. Reigelsperger is ranked as the 17th-best player from the state of Ohio.
Reigelsperger, who plays for Wayne High School in Ohio, has taken notice to the big things that Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh has done with the program. His former teammate, Tyree Kinnel, currently is a safety for Harbaugh’s team.
“Love him,” the 6-foot-5, 235-pound athlete said of Harbaugh. “Love the way he coaches, love the way he recruits... all that.”
Michigan, Oklahoma State, Tennessee, Michigan State, Oregon and UCLA are close to offering the defensive end.
Reigelsperger said that if Michigan would offer, the program would automatically be his No. 1 school. Right now, Iowa is the top school on his list.
