'17 WR Target Appears Ready for Commitment

4-star WR target Tarik Black (Cheshire, CT) stole quite a bit of attention Sunday evening as he hinted at a possible commitment coming soon. The Cheshire Academy product has been high on Auburn after a visit last weekend, but a push from Michigan commit Corey Malone-Hatcher could potentially tip the scales in Michigan's favor.

Malone-Hatcher has been very active on social media over the weekend, especially in regards to a possible commitment from Tarik Black, and is working with popular recruiting graphic artist Clay Williams on a plan to woo Black to the point of a commitment to play in Ann Arbor. Malone-Hatcher's plan is set to be announced this evening at 7pm.

Michigan Hosts 4* Safety Target, Cass Tech Teammates

Cass Tech Defensive Back Jaylen Kelly-Powell visited The Big House for Saturday's game against Colorado, along with teammates Xavier Goldsmith (2019 DB), DeAndre Square (2018 4* S), and Jaren Mangham (2019 4* ATH).

Kelly-Powell has been high on the Wolverines' list, and while many have predicted a future Michigan commitment, he has been taking his time with the recruitment process, including official visits to Oregon and Nebraska and another scheduled for Alabama on October 22nd.

A commitment from Kelly-Powell would be huge not just for the skill set he could bring to the Michigan secondary, but also to further develop the Cass Tech-Michigan pipeline.

Numerous Unofficial Visits for Colorado Game

In a busy weekend for unofficial visits, 3-star weak side DE Alex Reigelsperger took in the Wolverines' win from Ann Arbor as well. The #17 player in Ohio has been linked with Kentucky fairly often, but he remains uncommitted and has plenty more unofficial visits scheduled. As of today, Michigan has not offered Reigelsperger. He was also joined by Michigan commits JaRaymond Hall and Joel Honigford.

Paea Accepts Invitation to Polynesian Football HOF Game

Michigan DT commit Phillip Paea accepted an offer to play in the Polynesia Bowl, a new high-school all star game featuring players of Polynesian heritage. The game takes place January 21st, and could be a great asset for Michigan as Paea interacts with plenty of uncommitted athletes right before National Signing Day.
