Michigan contacts No. 1 recruit Trevor Lawrence

The five-star pro-style quarterback is the No. 1 ranked athlete in the 2018 class.

Michigan has reached out to the No. 1 ranked prospect in the 2018 class, according to Rusty Mansell of 247Sports.

Five-star quarterback Trevor Lawrence was contacted by Michigan, Georgia, Clemson, Florida State, LSU and Oklahoma in the first day of allowed recruitment contact with high school juniors.

Lawrence, from Cartersville High School in Georgia, is ranked No. 1 in the nation, according to 247Sports. He is the top pro-style quarterback and the best in the state of Georgia.

Coaches can watch a prospect play or visit his school once between September 1st and November 26th.

The 6-foot-6, 195-pound quarterback has offers to play for Clemson, Georgia, Alabama, California, Cincinnati, Colorado State, Duke, Florida, Florida State, LSU, Miami (FL), Michigan, Michigan State, Mississippi State, Missouri, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Southern Miss, Tennessee, Texas A&M, UCF, Vanderbilt and Virginia Tech.

Lawrence completed 233-of-364 passes in the 2015 season with Cartersville High School for 3,655 yards, 43 touchdowns and four interceptions.

The quarterback could make a college decision in October.

Michigan is also looking at 2018 four-star quarterback Artur Sitkowski from Old Bridge High School and 2018 four-star quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson from Bishop Gorman High School.
