Class of 2017 three-star safety J’Marick Woods, a Michigan commit, will take an unofficial visit to U-M on September 24th against Penn State.

The 6-foot-3, 205-pound athlete from Florence, Alabama committed to Michigan on March 28, 2016. Woods, who was recruited to Michigan by Tyrone Wheatley, has offers to play for Michigan, LSU, Arkansas, Duke, Florida, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Louisville, Mississippi State, Penn State, Tennessee, Tulane, Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech, and Wake Forest. He did not get an offer from Alabama.

The safety is ranked No. 342 in the 2017 class, according to 247Sports. He is the 26th ranked player at his position and is the 16th-best from the state of Alabama.

Woods will be graduating from Florence High School in December to get ready for the start of his college career with Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh.
