Bateman is a three-star offensive tackle for Gadsden City High School in Alabama. He has offers to some of the top schools in the nation, but seems to be favoring the Wolverines.
Believe it or not, Bateman told Maize n Brew that he might commit during his visit this weekend. The 6-foot-8, 305-pound athlete is the 408th best player in the 2017 class.

"Maybe."
Collins, the 86th ranked player in the 2017 class and the No. 13 wide receiver, is also favoring Michigan. The four-star wide receiver from Clay-Chalkville in Alabama caught 60 passes for 1,103 yards and 16 touchdowns last season.
The highly touted wide receiver unofficially visited Michigan on June 18th and August 6th, so this will be his third time in Ann Arbor.
From West Senior High School in Iowa, Martin is a four-star wide receiver. He is ranked as the No. 36 wide receiver in the nation and the best player from Iowa. Martin is highly considering both Michigan and Michigan State.
During the 2015 season, Martin caught 72 passes for 1,208 yards and 17 touchdowns. He will be playing in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl on January 7th.
The 12th-best player in the nation, the No. 1 wide receiver and the No. 1 athlete from the state of Michigan, Peoples-Jones, will also visit Michigan this weekend. Michigan is considered the favorite for Peoples-Jones, a five-star from Cass Technical in Michigan.
The 6-foot-2, 190-pound receiver went for 1,012 yards and 14 touchdowns on 39 receptions in the 2015 season. Peoples-Jones will also play in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.
