2018 4-star DE Nik Bonitto plans to visit Michigan this season

The four-star prospect is “very interested because they are showing me a lot of love.”

Class of 2018 four-star defensive end Nik Bonitto told Maize n Brew that he is planning to visit Michigan this season. The Wolverines are showing a lot of love, so Bonitto is “very interested.”

“I have to see when I’m free and to see where my schedule fits in with theirs,” the defensive end said.

The four-star is ranked No. 76 overall in the 2018 class, according to 247Sports. He is the third-best weak-side defensive end and the 14th ranked player from the state of Florida.

He has offers to play for Miami (FL), Florida, Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, LSU, Michigan, Michigan State, Missouri, N.C. State, Nebraska, Ohio State, Rutgers, South Carolina, Syracuse, Tennessee, Central Florida, West Virginia and Wisconsin.

“Right now, I am just enjoying the process,” Bonitto said regarding if he had a top list.

When asked about Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh, Bonitto said, “Great coach. Everyone has bought into what he’s doing in the few years he’s been there. That says a lot.”

Bonitto made 43 tackles for St. Thomas Aquinas in Fort Lauderdale, Florida last season. He logged 14.5 tackles for a loss, six sacks, two pass breakups, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries.
