The time is coming.
Najee Harris, the nation’s top running back recruit, and the No. 1 recruit for the 2017 class, will make his college decision on Jan. 7 during the week of the Army All-American Bowl.
Harris has been an Alabama verbal commit for just about his entire recruiting process, but Michigan has crept into the conversation and seems to have sparked some interest in the Californian after his official visit on Dec. 10 of 2016. Even his mom liked the Michigan visit.

If the Wolverines were to steal away the top recruit, Michigan will instantly have one of the best backfields in the country in 2017. With Chris Evans, Kareem Walker, Ty Isaac, and Drake Johnson potentially coming back for a sixth year, Michigan would have a deadly running attack and would have no excuses for a below-average run game.
Harbaugh visited with Harris on June 23, 2016 in Antioch, Calif. during the summer satellite camps tour.
