Class of 2018 three-star linebacker Brian Asamoah will visit Michigan in late February or early March, he told Maize n Brew.

“I am planning on visiting ASAP,” he said. “As of right now, it’s looking like late February or early March. I’ve been talking to coach (Mike) Zordich to schedule an appropriate time to head up.”

The 6-foot-0, 205-pound athlete has offers to play for Cincinnati, Duke, Eastern Kentucky, Indiana, Iowa State, Michigan, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Toledo, and UCLA. Asamoah does not have any leaders at this point in his recruitment.

“As of right now, I’m not going to short hand any of the schools that have offered me.” Asamoah said. “I’m taking time this spring to visit schools to see where I could see myself playing. But, I am highly interested in Michigan and can’t wait to come up to visit.”

Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh has led the Wolverines to a 20-6 record across his first two seasons with the program. Michigan has been to back-to-back bowl games and Asamoah has taken notice.

“I feel good about Michigan,” the outside linebacker said. “I love the direction the programs heading towards under coach (Jim) Harbaugh.”
