Nation’s Top Recruit to Commit Following All-American Bowl
All eyes will be on Saturday’s U.S. Army All-American Bowl, where several of Michigan’s top targets will be announcing their commitment. Included in the list is 2017 five-star running back Najee Harris, the nation's top recruit.
However, per Steve Wiltfong of Wolverine247 (FREE), Harris does not plan on announcing his decision on television, but rather he will fly directly to his school of choice following the game. His decision will come down to either Alabama or Michigan.
Although he has had a verbal commitment to Alabama since April of 2015, Jim Harbaugh and Michigan have been gaining ground. He paid a visit to Ann Arbor back in mid-December.
2017 4* OT, Michigan Target to Commit at All-American Bowl
Along with Harris, a second Michigan target that is ready to announce his college decision on Saturday is 2017 four-star OT Chuck Filiaga. When asked by Steve Lorenz of Wolverine247 (FREE) about Michigan and Jim Harbaugh, Filiaga said,
“He really has made me a priority. Coach Drevno has been consistent too, both of them. Coach Harbaugh has talked to me a lot more. Coach Drevno has been visiting me at school since I was in California. They've made me a huge priority."
He is ranked 98th nationally and 14th overall in the state of Texas. Also on his top list are USC, Nebraska, and Oklahoma.
Michigan Included in Top 3 for 2017 5* DT
Per Brandon Justice of Land of 10, 2017 five-star defensive tackle Aubrey Solomon has included Michigan in his list of top three schools, along with Alabama and Georgia.
