Pep Hamilton might quit Cleveland Browns, join Jim Harbaugh at Michigan

Cleveland Browns v Washington Redskins

The Cleveland Browns associate head coach Pep Hamilton is considering leaving the team to join Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan coaching staff, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com.

Hamilton was previously an assistant to Harbaugh at Stanford.

While the Browns want Hamilton to stay in town, he “likes being a college coach.” The 42-year-old is the highest-ranking offensive assistant for Cleveland.

After losing Jedd Fisch, the passing game coordinator and quarterbacks coach, to UCLA, there is an opening on Harbaugh’s staff.

Browns head coach Hue Jackson may be replacing his associate head coach sooner than later.
