Reaction Roundtable Endures Bye Week

Michigan couldn’t lose this week. This is pleasing.

NCAA Football: Air Force at Michigan Rick Osentoski-USA TODAY Sports

Welcome to the Reaction Roundtable, a new feature we are debuting at Maize n Brew. Each Sunday this football season, three of our staff members, Kevin Bunkley, Drew Hallett, and Josh LaFond, will share their instant thoughts, analysis, musings, and (attempted) humor on Michigan’s’ performance the previous day

Fooled you! It’s the bye week, people. The three of us are taking a some time to be with loved ones who haven’t seen us in four Saturdays, and enjoying the feeling of calm that comes with not having multiple panic attacks during a close Michigan game.

What a bye week it was, though.

Jim Harbaugh dove off a diving board in his khakis!

Troy went into Death Valley and beat LSU...on homecoming!

Maryland beat undefeated Minnesota with their third-string quarterback!

Tennessee melted down again and got blown out by Georgia at home. Vols fans demand Butch Jones be sacrificed to their Manning God.

Rutgers tried to avoid a shutout at the hands of Ohio State, and missed the field goal. Poor Rutgers.

Josh, myself, and Drew (by the way, congrats to Drew!) will be back next Sunday to discuss the showdown against Michigan State. May there be plenty of Sparty, No! under the lights on Saturday night.

Finally, take five minutes and let Tom Rinaldi induce some sobbing.
