Michigan rises to No. 7 in AP Poll

A bye week need not matter for Michigan to receive a better ranking

The Michigan Wolverines had a bye week, but their ranking changed anyway. Michigan is up to No. 7 in the AP Top 25 Poll. Michigan also remained at No. 7 in the Coaches poll.

Other notable rankings:

- Georgia rises to No. 6 in the AP after beating Tennessee 41-0

- Wisconsin moves up to No. 8 in the AP, defeating Northwestern 33-24

- Washington State moves up five spots to No. 11 after upsetting USC 30-27

- USC drops all the way from No. 5 to No. 15
