Moritz Wagner was named to the 10-man preseason All-Big Ten team on Thursday morning.

It is the sixth-straight season that at least one Michigan player has been named to that list.

The Berlin, Germany native joins Miles Bridges (Player of the Year), Ethan Happ (unanimous), Bryant McIntosh (unanimous), Amir Coffey, Vince Edwards, Justin Jaakson, Scottie Lindsey, Nate Mason, Nick Ward on the roster.

Last season as an All-Big Ten honorable mention, Wagner averaged 12.1 points and 4.2 rebounds per game, while shooting 39.5 percent from 3-point range at the four position.

Derrick Walton Jr. was the most recent player named to the list (2016-17), with his season resulting in a breakout finish, averaging 15.5 points, 4.8 boards and 5.0 assists per contest.

Last season, Wagner and Walton were both a part of a core that led Michigan to a Big Ten Tournament championship and a Sweet 16 appearance.

Wagner, a junior, entered the 2017 NBA Draft process but withdrew from it and elected to return for another season with the Wolverines.

The 6-foot-11, 240-pound forward and the Wolverines will take the floor for the first time of the 2017-18 campaign on Nov. 11 at 7:30 p.m. against North Florida at the Crisler Center.
