Jim Harbaugh said at his press conference moments ago that Wilton Speight will not be able to compete this week, and that he will be out multiple weeks. When asked to specify what the injury is, Harbaugh said the reporter can ask Wilton or the doctors.
Speight was injured in the first quarter against Purdue. Last week, Harbaugh called it a soft tissue injury, but the severity is still unknown, and a soft tissue injury can occur to different parts of the body. However, where Speight got hit was to the neck and back area.
We will have more on this story as it develops further.
