Michigan/Minnesota set for 7:30 p.m. kickoff

Another night game for the Wolverines

NCAA Football: Michigan at Minnesota Jesse Johnson-USA TODAY Sports

The Michigan football team played one night game all of last regular season. The Wolverines have already played at night twice, and now a third time is on the horizon.

It was announced today the matchup between Michigan and Minnesota on Nov. 4 at The Big House is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. EST. The game will be aired on FOX.

One can imagine why in the world FOX picked up this game for its prime time game. There’s one reason and one reason only: Jim Harbaugh vs. P.J. Fleck. These two coaches are both intense and love the game. With the way things have been going this year for both teams, this should be a pretty interesting game to say the least.

The Wolverines are 0-2 in night games this season, losing at home to Michigan State and on the road last weekend to Penn State. Minnesota is 0-1 in night games this season, losing at home to Michigan State two weeks ago.

Michigan last played Minnesota in 2015, winning on the road in nail-biting fashion thanks to a goal line stand by the U-M defense on Minnesota’s final drive.
