In what turned out to be a game full of rain and turnovers, the Michigan State Spartans defeated the Michigan Wolverines 14-10.

Game Recap

First Quarter

Michigan gets the ball first and has a nearly seven minute long drive, mixing pass and run. The drive ultimately bogs down in the red-zone. Quinn Nordin drills a 30 yard field goal. Michigan leads 3-0

After a Ty Issac fumble that gives Michigan State the ball at mid-field, followed by an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on Devin Bush, Brian Lewerke scrambles for a 14 yard touchdown. Michigan State leads 7-3

Second Quarter

A play has the Michigan defense over-committed to the left side of the field, and Brian Lewerke throws a screen pass to half-back Madre London for a 16 yard touchdown. Michigan State leads 14-3

Third Quarter

After John O’Korn hits Grant Perry on a pass that reaches the one yard line, on the very next play Khalid Hill punches it in for a score. Michigan State leads 14-10
