Michigan opens as 13-point underdogs for next weekend’s Ohio State game

Who would you bet for?

NCAA Football: Michigan at Ohio State Greg Bartram-USA TODAY Sports

It didn’t take long for the opening Vegas betting line to come out for The Game, and it isn’t looking favorable for the Wolverines.

The Ohio State Buckeyes opened as 13-point favorites for next weekend’s game at The Big House against the 8-3 Michigan Wolverines. The betting line was released on VegasInsider.com.

This sounds about right to me. I figured it would be around a 2-touchdown point-spread in favor of Ohio State. With the way the Buckeyes have been putting up points, and the way Michigan...hasn’t, this seems like a reasonable spread to me.

The over/under has not been released yet, but I assume it will be much higher than last weekend’s over/under of 39 points.

Now it’s your turn! Sound off on our poll below and weigh in down in the comments section on why you think, or don’t think, Michigan *would cover that spread.

*(I use the word “would” because the spread is likely to fluctuate throughout the week.)
