Most would expect the night before The Game to be calm around the Michigan program, but not this year.

3-star defensive end Taylor Upshaw de-committed from the Florida Gators and pledged his services verbally to the Wolverines Friday night.

The Brandenton, Florida native is 6-foot-5 and 240 pounds and is the 24th ranked strong-side defensive end recruit in the 2018 class, according to 247Sports’ Composite Rankings. He originally committed to the Gators on June 10. He received offers from Florida State, Wisconsin, Oklahoma, Georgia and Miami, among others.

Upshaw and several other Michigan targets are in town this weekend for the big game against the Ohio State Buckeyes.
