Good morning, Michigan fans, and welcome to this year’s first Michigan basketball game thread.
Today is a very interesting day in Ann Arbor for two reasons:
1) Michigan basketball looks to seek revenge against the UCLA Bruins, a team that defeated the Wolverines in California last season.
2) Michigan football is playing host to several recruits this weekend, but none bigger than three former Ole Miss players that are aiming to transfer. Quarterback Shea Patterson, safety Deontay Anderson and wide receiver Van Jefferson are all in town, and they are reportedly attending the basketball game this afternoon.
You can’t say this very often, but quite a bit is on the line for both the basketball and football teams today. Michigan basketball can get a quality win on its resume (which, ya know, kinda helps during tourney time), and the football team can potentially upgrade several positions of need. Buckle in, folks.
Whether you are here to talk hoops or football is fair game in this thread, so feel free to stay a while and make yourself comfortable.
The game begins at noon and is aired on CBS.
