Class of 2017 three-star offensive tackle Mekhi Becton has committed to Louisville.
The 6-foot-7, 345-pound athlete from Highland Springs High School (VA) has signed with the Cardinals instead of Michigan, Michigan State, Virginia, Oregon, Virginia Tech, and others.
Becton officially visited Michigan on November 5th to see the Wolverines defeat Maryland, 59-3. Last week, Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh, along with offensive coordinator and offensive line coach Tim Drevno, visited Becton to watch his basketball game. He also took official visits to Louisville (Jan. 14), Virginia Tech (Jan. 20), Oregon (Jan. 20), and Michigan State (Jan. 27) prior to making his final decision.
The offensive lineman is ranked No. 407 in the 2017 class, according to 247Sports. He is the 43rd-best at his position and the No. 16 ranked player in the state of Virginia.
Louisville has offensive line commits in Cole Bentley (OG), Caleb Chandler (OT), Toryque Bateman (OT), Ronald Rudd (OT), and now Becton (OT).
