“God always has a plan, whether you know it or not,” Davis said. “Blessed with the opportunity to announce my commitment to the University of Michigan as a preferred walk-on.”
The 6-foot-1, 190-pound athlete from Frankenmuth High School (MI) completed 62-of-110 passes for 1,225 yards, 13 touchdowns and four interceptions. On the ground, Davis added 161 carries for 966 yards and 16 touchdowns. He logged 70 tackles, one sack, one tackle for a loss, four interceptions, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery on defense. Across three years at the varsity, Davis accumulated 3,786 yards of offense.
Michigan now has walk-on offers from Sean Fitzgerald (DT/OG), Jess Speight (OG), Adam Fakih (LB), Tyler Plocki (FB/LB), Chris Hanlon (TE), Hunter Reynolds (S/CB/WR), Jack Young (WR), Evan Latham (WR), and now Davis (SS/RB).
