Class of 2018 three-star tight end Lee Payton is visiting Michigan today, he told Maize n Brew.

Payton most recently unofficially visited Michigan on February 23rd and is looking for an offer to play for the Wolverines. He will be at The Opening Regional on April 9th and will also attend the Rivals camp and the Under Armour camp. If Michigan offers, the Maize and Blue would be in his top list of schools.

The 6-foot-3, 220-pound tight end is ranked No. 702 in the 2018 class, according to the 247Sports Composite. He is ranked as the 27th-best at his position and the No. 17 ranked player in the state of Michigan.

Payton, from River Rouge High School (MI), has offers to play for Bowling Green, Buffalo, Eastern Michigan, Florida, Syracuse, Toledo, and Western Michigan.

Over the past few months, Payton has been in lots of contact with Michigan coach Greg Frey.

“He (Greg Frey) has just been saying that he wants to see me at camp and up at the school more,” Payton said.
