Michigan Favorite to Land In-State Prospect

According to Steve Lorenz of Wolverine247 (FREE), Michigan is heavily favorited to land 2018 three-star offensive lineman Jalen Mayfield (Grand Rapids, MI). He is the 57th-ranked OL in his class and he sits at 18th overall in the state of Michigan.

Mayfield had a busy weekend, as he decommitted from Minnesota, visited Michigan, and received a Michigan offer.

Wolverines Will Host 4* Ohio Prospect on Wednesday

Per Steve Lorenz of Wolverine247 (FREE), the Wolverines are set to host 2018 four-star defensive end Tyreke Smith (OH) for a visit on Wednesday. The 247Composite lists him as the 7th-best player in the 2018 cycle out of Ohio and 6th at the DE position.

He holds several other offers, including Michigan State, Notre Dame, and Ohio State, among others. Ohio State sits as the early favorite to land Smith.

Michigan Makes Big Impression on 4* Tackle

Connor Tapp of Wolverine247 (FREE) reported this week that 2018 four-star offensive tackle Ryan Hayes (MI) is heavily favorited to land at Michigan. Hayes visited Ann Arbor over the weekend, and since then, several predictions have been submitted for the Wolverines to land Hayes.

He is the second-ranked prospect in Michigan and 12th overall at the OT position. The article states that Michigan “exceeded his expectations.”
