Class of 2018 three-star tight end Lee Payton told Maize n Brew that he has been in contact with Michigan coach Greg Frey and will visit Ann Arbor “as soon as possible.”
“He (Greg Frey) has just been saying that he wants to see me at camp and up at the school more,” Payton said. “I will come up there as soon as possible.”
The 6-foot-3, 220-pound athlete from River Rouge High School (MI) has offers to play for Bowling Green, Buffalo, Eastern Michigan, Florida, Syracuse, Toledo, and Western Michigan.
He is ranked No. 690 in the 2018 class, according to the 247Sports Composite. He is the 25th-best tight end and the 17th ranked player from the state of Michigan.
Payton unofficially visited Michigan on February 23rd. He has also visited Central Michigan, Toledo, Michigan State, Ohio State, Howard, Maryland, Hampton, Bowling Green, and Eastern Michigan.

Payton will be at The Opening Regional on April 9th and will also attend the Rivals camp and the Under Armour camp. If Michigan offers, the Wolverines would be in his top list of schools.
