2018 4-star S Amari Burney will make sure to visit Michigan before making college decision

The 247Sports Crystal Ball has Florida as the leader for the safety from Calvary Christian High School (FL).

Class of 2018 four-star safety Amari Burney from Calvary Christian High School (FL) told Maize n Brew that he will make sure to visit Michigan before making his college decision.

“I’m planning a visit (to Michigan) with my parents,” he said. “I’m just trying to get up there before my decision.”

Burney has offers to play for Florida, Ohio State, Arkansas, Auburn, Florida State, Kentucky, Louisville, Miami (FL), Michigan, N.C. State, Navy, Ole Miss, Oregon, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Tennessee, UCF, USF, Virginia Tech, Wisconsin, and Nebraska.

The 6-foot-1, 215-pound safety is ranked No. 105 in the 2018 class, according to the 247Sports Composite. He is the ninth-best at his position and is ranked 25th in the state of Florida.

Burney was invited to The Opening Finals in Beaverton, Oregon after his outstanding performance in The Opening Regional camp in Florida.

Xavier Thomas, Brey Walker, Lorenzo Lingard, Anthony Cook, Tyreke Johnson, James Cook, Brendan Radley-Hiles, Justin Watkins, Brian Hightower, Brennan Eagles, Caden Sterns, Josh Jobe, Tyson Campbell, Jalen Green, Al Blades Jr., Xavier Williams, Joshua Moore, Leon O’Neal Jr., Atanza Vongor, Elijah Moore, D’Shawn Jamison, Reuben Unije, Kevin Austin, Cameron Latu, Curtis Dunlap, Cam’Ron Davis, Amari Gainer, Andrew Chatfield, David Reese, Delon Scaife, Anthony Schwartz, and George Takacs are the players already slated to join Burney at The Opening Finals.
