After appearing in 127 basketball game for Michigan, point guard Derrick Walton Jr. will toss out the first pitch for the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park on Thursday.
The Detroit Tigers will be playing against the Minnesota Twins at 1:10 PM ET in the fourth game of a four-game series between the teams.
Walton, prior to playing for the Wolverines, attended Harper Woods (MI) Chandler Park Academy High School.
He was ranked as the No. 44 player in the 2013 class, according to the 247Sports Composite. He was the 10th-best at his position and the No. 2 player in the state of Michigan. Walton enrolled in Michigan on May 1, 2013.
