The 2016 season starter for Michigan, Wilton Speight, will start the Spring Game for the Blue Team, while Brandon Peters will start for the Maize Team.

Last year, O’Korn was listed as the No. 2 quarterback on the roster. He battle for the job under-center was between Speight, O’Korn, and Shane Morris. Now, a new No. 2 is in town in Peters, a redshirt freshman.

During the 2016 season, Speight, a 6-foot-6, 243-pound quarterback, completed 204-of-331 passes (61.6 percent) for 2,538 yards, 18 touchdowns, and seven interceptions.

Peters took a redshirt for his freshman year, so he did not get any action. He was a top quarterback target for coach Jim Harbaugh and was an early enrollee at the University of Michigan that year.

Peters, at 6-foot-5, 210 pounds, was ranked No. 61 in the 2016 class, according to the 247Sports Compsoite. The pro-style quarterback from Avon High School (IN) was ranked the sixth-best at his position and No. 1 overall in the state of Indiana.
