Louisville (KY) Trinity Catholic 2019 four-star defensive end Stephen Herron Jr. visited Michigan for the Spring Game on Saturday and is already planning to return to Ann Arbor.
“I’m definitely feeling great about Michigan,” he said.
The 6-foot-4, 235-pound athlete is ranked No. 35 in the 2019 class, according to 247Sports. He is the fourth-best weak-side defensive end and the No. 1 player in the state of Kentucky.
When asked if he would return to visit Michigan again, Herron said, “of course.”
At the Spring Game, Herron bonded with Michigan commit 2018 four-star offensive guard Emil Ekiyor, from Indianapolis (IN) Cathedral. Ekiyor is ranked No. 100 in the 2018 class, according to the 247Sports Composite. He committed to Michigan on October 2nd.
“I talked with Emil Ekiyor a lot,” he mentioned. “He was just saying how I have to come for a game and he kept asking me how I liked it. Just the usual player to player recruitment.
He has offers to play for Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio State, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, Indiana, Louisville, Mississippi State, Oregon, Purdue, Syracuse, Vanderbilt, and Virginia Tech.
Since the beginning of April, Herron has visited Alabama (April 3), Ohio State (April 8), Kentucky (April 14), and Michigan (April 15).
