When Jim Harbaugh came to town, he had a simple message for Chris Wormley. You haven’t come close to tapping your potential.
Consider it a message received, as Wormley has grown leaps and bounds under Harbaugh - and now has been drafted by John Harbaugh and the Baltimore Ravens with the 10th pick of the third round.
Wormley has been an absolute stud for the Wolverines, flexing in and out depending on Michigan’s needs and serving a key role on two top Michigan defenses. Now, he’ll be taking his talents to the AFC North, where his athleticism and all-around game will come in handy.
It’s not just the physical gifts, either, that will help him succeed. The former Michigan captain will get to show his leadership skills and work ethic in Baltimore’s locker room, with his sometimes soft-spoken but characteristically on-point demeanor. He’ll have a good chance to be an impact starter early on and represent U-M’s ability to develop top linemen into productive NFL stars.

We’ll miss his blend of run defense, pass rushing, and surprising comfort out in space chasing down sweeps and screens. He made it look easy, and it definitely wasn’t. Good luck to him in the NFL.
