Class of 2018 five-star wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown told Maize n Brew that he will commit to a program after his senior season at Santa Ana (CA) Mater Dei.
“I have no specific date to commit,” he said to MnB. “But definitely after my senior season.”
Michigan is one of the schools recruiting Brown the hardest. Along with the Wolverines are some major recruiting rivals going after the receiver.
“I would say Ohio State, Notre Dame, Stanford, Michigan, USC, UCLA, and Alabama are recruiting me the hardest,” he mentioned. “I do not have any top schools right now.”
Even tough he is from California, Brown really likes Michigan, especially coach Jim Harbaugh.
“I really like coach Jim Harbaugh,” Brown said. “I think he is one of the better head coaches in college football. I really like his demeanor and his approach towards football. I do not have any set plans to visit (Michigan) because money is tight right now, but I would love to come down and visit if we had some money to squeeze in there.”
The 6-foot-0, 191-pound wide receiver is ranked No. 19 in the 2018 class, according to the 247Sports Composite. He is the third-best at his position and is ranked No. 3 in the state of California.
Brown has personal goals of 100 receptions, 2,000 receiving yards, and 30 touchdowns. More importantly, his ultimate goal is to help Mater Dei win a state championship.
He has offers to play for Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Stanford, USC, Alabama, Auburn, Boise State, California, Colorado, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisville, Miami (FL), Michigan State, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Tennessee, UCLA, Utah, Washington, Washington State, and Florida.
Brown will compete with other top prospects at The Opening Finals starting on June 30th in Beaverton, Oregon.

Since the end of his junior season, Brown has put on 15 pounds and is making huge strides in his athletic ability. Check out his dad’s company, Cane Protein, for more information.
“I’ve been working out with my dad since I was 5 years old, so I’m kind of used to all the training,” Brown said. “It is really intense. I took a little break after the season because we had a long year. After about two months, I started working out with my dad again and taking the Cane Protein and I’ve gained 15 pounds since the end of the season. The protein is really helping me out.”
